David, I remember seeing a Steve Jobs presentation that confirms exactly what 
you state.  I was still in San Francisco which makes me think it was around 
2010 or so where he mentioned that the goal was to unify the Mac, Phone and all 
other devices around the same software and style.  I think you’re dead on right 
with this one.
