OK, so, once unchecked, and then installed, can we then re-enable it, or do
we need, for now, to leave it off.

Did you check the "extensions" pane in system preferences to see if the
iTunes widget is enabled there? If it is, then you can uncheck the box
that enables the iTunes widget and then you should be able to get the
