Hmmm, rather strange sentiments to disagree with one's personal decisions. Its not our place to even stray into that arena. Why not just say "thanks for all you have done and good luck in your endeavors?"

Well John, I read your post. What I am going to say may seem somewhat
contravercial, but, here goes. While I personally disagree with
Jonathan’s decition to leave the Mac world, I do appreaciate that it’s
his right and indeed moral obligation to do so. Why? Simple. We all
love our Macs here: and, I’m sure we are all sorry to see you,
Jonathan, leave the Mac world: however, the bottom line is the bottom
line. It’s your choice. Altimately, you’ve got to make the decition
that suits your circumstances most effectively. IF the Mac is not part
of your solution, well, it just isn’t and that’s all there is to it.
Some might, perhaps, think you a trator for leaving us: I, however,
say otherwise. Indeed, you would be a trator if you did not do for your
own use situation the thing or things you found best to both do and use.
There are some here who use windows on their Macs; but as for me, I
shan’t ever do so. I’ve left windows behind for good as I felt the Mac
would better meet my current needs. Looks to me like I was right.
Apple INc is not a religion. It’s a computer company. One thing I
must say in closing is this. I hope and trust that most of the members
on this list will side with me and appreciate that in order to do what
you do to the greatest degree of effectivness, you feel that the Mac is
not for you. I am personaly sorry this is so, but, you’ve got the right
and indeed moral obligation to take the road you feel will get you along
to where you need to go.

Sent from my Mac, The Only computer with full accessibility for the

Still a very happy Comcast XFinity Voice Guidance, Mac, Verizon
Wireless iPhone7+ and Apple TV user!

Hi everyone, in a recent blog post, I lamented the lack of a DAISY
player for Mac.
This has resulted in me being contacted by someone fluent in both
English and German who tells me that there is in fact a DAISY player
available. The free version allows for playback, and a paid version
also provides for DAISY production. The default language for the
product is German, and from what I can gather, the entire website is
German as well.
When you install the player, the local system language isn't detected,
but I'm told that if you can find it in Preferences, English is
available. So maybe there's further potential here for making this all
much easier than it currently is. I don't know if the developer is
fluent in English, but presumably they have someone who is since
localisation has been done.
The app is available for multiple platforms at:
http://www.legantoo.de/index.php?menuid=33
and although I'm not a German speaker, I was able to work out which
link is for the Mac version. Something for the ambitious among you to
play with.
Also since I will soon no longer be using a Mac and will be
unsubscribing, this is probably my last post here. So I'd like to
extend a sincere thanks to those who have offered great tips and
tricks over the last four years or so that I've been subscribed. I
appreciate it very much and of course will continue to watch
developments with Mac via all the tech feeds I subscribe to.
Cheers.
