First, check on the web or another Apple device to make sure your contacts
are still in the Cloud.

If they are then do a backup of the contacts, Macintosh's have a save
function and possibly a export function. You would need to select all
contacts and then use either the export or save as functions.


If you want, you could even open the export file with textedit to verify
content is there.

Next you should look at your iCloud settings on the phone. Disconnect
contacts if it is selected and then wait a little and restart phone. Now
re-enable iCloud contacts, they should only take a few seconds to
synchronize on anything faster than 56kbs.

If this doesn't work then hopefully you have at least received an error
message somewhere along in the process.
