Hello, I am running the latest El Capitan on my late 2008 iMac. I am using GMAIL with imap protocol.
It seems that GMAIL moves every message I have ever sent or received into its all mail folder which appears on my iMac as the archive folder. I do not like GMAIL retaining all these Emails as it reduces my privacy and so would like to stop this behaviour. I have looked at my GMAIL settings and cannot see anything I can change to stop GMAIL archiving. Is it possible to stop GMAIL archiving all messages? Many thanks….
