Perhaps a more complete uninstall would fix this. Either App Delete or Clean My Mac.

I have seen the truth and it makes no sense.

Hi Jonathan,

Such was my thinking too so I did delete the applications a few times and
reinstalled them from the appstore only to find the same behaviour. I have no
idea where else I could look to change this.

Thanks for responding.

This should not happen, unless the program itself is modifying its package
contents. Generally, Mac store apps only need to be approved once. And
applications that we bought from the store that is the Apple Store, should
never have to be approved. I suggest that you delete your copies of the
software and try getting new copies from the App Store.

Best wishes,

Hi,

Every time I try to open a file created or formerly opened by iText Express or
iText pro - both of which I have downloaded from the appstore, I get a warning
message about opening apps from an unidentified developer. It drives me crazy
as I then have to use contextual menu to open a file in either app and get
another warning whether I really want to open them. I thought apps downloaded
from the appstore shouldn't behave in this fashion. Has anybody else
encountered this weird behaviour? I shall have to change my settings to allow
for opening of any apps from the internet - something I am not quite happy
about. Is there a work around?
