Hi,

This is an issue with respect to Display sleep and/or Screen saver
implementations. What seems to be going on is similar to when a user has their
Mac set to require a password after sleep or screen saver. This setting is
found in the Security pane of System Prefs. Since you likely don't have this
enabled, the MacOS still seems to bring forward the authentication process
htough, but it is disabled and therefore cleared by the usual methods of
clearing screen savers or waking up the computer. I haven't determined a way
around this yet. It's not an issue for me as I have my computer set to require
my password anyway to wake it. ET has also been frustrated by this action.
Probably, it would be advisable to submit it as a bug to Apple. Not sure how
easy it will be to fix, but that's why they get paid the big bucks.

Subject: user log in weirdness MBA

Hi,

On my macbook air, a screen keeps popping up every ten minutes or so. It says
user log in, then has my name and a space for my password, which is dimmed out.
If I push any keys on the keyboard, the window goes away, only to pop up again
ten minutes later. Only way I could read the screen was with the track pad.
Only people on this computer are me, as admin, and a guest account. Auto log
in is enabled for me as admin.

Anybody got any ideas as to what might be going on and how to fix it so this
stupid window goes away for good??

Running latest version of Sierra, mac book air 11 inch, 2013, 256 g sad, 8 g
ram, I5 processor if any of that makes a diff.

thanks!

Caitlyn
