Same here. Difficulties to log in after backup after starting the encryption process. Do one restart of the mac first after install or later backups. Sometimes the filevault freeze and you have to back up again. So, do first a backup of the clean install. Then you have less trouble if filevault freeze the first time. If it works to start up the first time afte chosing filevault, it works very good. You don’t have voice over when in the log in screen. Just wait and type in the password.
Last time i did restart the mac and turn off voice over after the last «ok» screen window. I use the Zoom Text magnifier to find the «ok» or «rstart now» button. It may be a voice over conflict. Only the first time after chosing to use filevault. After the first restart, it works very good here.
