I’d go for Amadeus Pro with RX 2 plug-ins or what ever plug-ins you can find that will meet your needs.
Amadeus Pro is en excelent compromise between Audacity, (which I think will not give you what you want) and Pro Tools, which may perhaps be overkill for what you describe your needs as being.
