Hi all, I have a question about using a 3rd generation Apple TV for HomeKit automation, but there's a wrinkle (hence the question).
My account currently hosts our home, since I set things up and am the resident techie: However, my sister's account is used on the 3rd-gen Apple TV in the house. I want to use that device as a hub to enable control outside of the network and automation. But will this work, given that her account drives the Apple TV but mine runs the Home app? I can't invite anyone due to my using the iOS betas (invites just time out) but even if I could, the question might stand. Can we somehow make it work where I host the HomeKit setup but the Apple TV under her account acts as a hub? Yes, I could sign into the TV. I'd prefer not to, to avoid confusion. If I were to have to sign in, could I do so to drive the hub but let the Apple TV remain using my sister's account all the time? Or would it present both her and my content at once? I'm not sure how any of this would work, so any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
