Well in lift you dont need to put in a destination unless you use line. I was able to get 5 dollars off my first rides by entering code 50twitter before booking my first ride. Be careful with Lift promos since they only last a few weeks after being entered so you probably want to wait until you are ready to book your first first trip. Also, note the price listed on the maps app includes any discount so my first ride was five dollars more than I expected. One other difference is Lift allows you to apply a tip in one dollar increments in the app after the ride is over.
