Hi, Just a technicality here, but the Finder is not the search engine in the MacOS, it is Spotlight that provides the search functionality. Sorry, I'm not aware of any third party search solutions. I may suggest though that the easiest method I've found for searching within specific folders is to actually open the folder, then navigate into the Toolbar for that window and enter your search criteria in the Search field to the far right of the Toolbar. After entering the search criteria, press return, then stop interacting with the Toolbar and navigate right to find the radio buttons that allow you to define specifics of where to perform the search. One says "This Mac" and the other should say "In such and such folder". VO-space on the folder one and your results should be more easily found.
