The original question has not been answered, so I am going to attempt to
restate it.
In bootcamp (no virtual machine software here) it is wanted for the Macintosh
keyboard to behave more like the US-English Windows keyboard.
I have never looked into this personally, I just plugin a Windows keyboard and
use that when doing significant work in a Windows environment. I understand a
few people on this list have used sharp keys can this actively re-map modifier
keys and change a modifier key (right option) into the Windows contextual menu
key.
I would think with all the internationalization support that modern operating
systems must support that there should be a good and robust way to dredefine
and install a different keymap not only for Macintosh but for Windows. I would
expect that there would be some demand for this in the overall bootcamp user
base and not just in the blind community.
Best wishes,
Jonathan Cohn
