Hi,
There are multiple methods for copying from a web page.
1. VO-shift-c as mentioned by Andrew. Whereby you have VO read a block of
text, press VO-shift-c to copy the last phrase uttered by VO to the
clipboard. You can then paste it wherever you wish.
2. Hold down the shift key then arrow through what you wish selected, then
press cmd-c to copy.
3. Navigate to the beginning of the section you wish selected, mark it with
VO-return, navigate right through to the end of what you wish to select,
press VO-return again to mark the end of the section, then press cmd-c to
copy.
4. Press cmd-a to select everything on the web page, open a TextEdit
document and put it into Plain Text by pressing cmd-shift-t, then press
cmd-v to paste the text into the document. You can then copy out what you
need from this text.
Note that in most cases, you need to Interact with the web content area, and
QuickNav needs to be turned off. Different web pages and/or web content
areas work better with different methods listed above. Just try one, if it
doesn't work, try one of the other methods.
Later...

Hello Andrew, thanks so much for that.
it's really so frustrating, specially if the page contains a block of
text that I need to get.
but so so sorry for asking, are you sure that this is the only way of
doing this? I mean copying a block of text?

Hi Ramy,
Selecting text on a webpage has always been a bit of a problem,
especially
if you need to select and copy just a small portion of the text. The way
I
do it is as follows: once you find and hear the text you are interested
in,
you can invoke Voiceover command vo+shift+c which copies the last phrase
or
portion of text that voiceover has just spoken. Once you press the key
combination you can then paste it into another application. Bear in mind
that you may have to edit the pasted text since what's copied to the
clipboard is the last spoken piece of text which may be longer than the
bit
you require. You can then go back to Safari and copy another chunk of
the
text, using the same key combination. This is not ideal but at least
it's
doable. Just remember that Voiceover will copy absolutely everything
that
it has said. So for instance, if the portion of the text includes a link
or
image or clickable text, and Voiceover says this, the word "link",
"image',
"clickable" will also be copied as part of the text. that's why you need
to
check and edit what has been pasted. If you need to copy the entire
content, there are other methods but I won't describe them now as they
are
more complex. You might find more information on the subject of copying
text from a webpage in macvisionaries group archive as this topic
regularly
comes up and others have tried different solutions.
Hope this will help a little.
