You’re absolutely right, I became aware of this discrepancy years ago when 
first working with Cell phones and accessibility.  I think what happens is we 
get very connected to our own challenges and issues and design to meet these.  
We don’t necessarily ignore or neglect the deaf blind for example it’s just not 
an experience we have front of mind because we don’t live it.  Just like I have 
no basis to under stand someone’s challenges first hand who can’t walk etc.  
It’s important to understand these needs and use cases but it’s also important 
for people from these groups to bring up the topic so others like my self are 
aware.  Karen raises a very good point as she usually does  I was just 
questioning the size of the market and if we could even afford further 
fragmentation if it can be helped.  Interesting topic and I’m always glad to 
learn about someone else challenges.  Awareness isn’t just for the sited 
community after all, we all need to be aware of each others challenges in life.
