Hi Nancy, let me give you a bit of background. VPN stands for virtual private network. Basically what it means is there can be network resources or services you want to get to privately and securely. Another use, your use most likely, is you want to secure the communication from your device to a wired secure destination where someone in the middle can’t grab your information on the way by. Say you were at a public WiFi point and you didn’t use a VPN. It’s possible for example with my computer I could be sitting a table over from you and grab your name / password and over time more and more critical data as you use your computer not even knowing what I’m up to. So a VPN encrypts that data and makes it impossible for me to intercept. That’s very important for public WiFi.
They are very easy to use. A client is installed on your computer and you activate it by clicking connect on a panel or at most entering in a name and password. If you use keys you may hit connect only and not need anything more than that. In other cases you can have them automatically connect once booted. It’s up to the user. Typically they are quite accessible on most platforms, options range from free on up and it’s a matter of installing software. There are other types of VPNs and all sorts of configurations, I’m going to leave them out for now as to not confuse you worse then I may have already. Let me know if you have any questions. > On Apr 4, 2017, at 8:28 PM, Nancy Badger <[email protected]> wrote: > > Are you saying that this one actually does work with voiceover?
