Hi, Like me, some users, not all, but some experiences problems loging in after activating file vault. Next time try command + r after shutting down the mac and hit start button again. F5 to start voice over after a while. You are in disk utility.
Vo - m to open the menu, apple, down to «start disk», open, vo-command+home to shut down the disk utility window. You are now in startdisk window. Hit the button «open disk», an password field shall appear, type in the password, hit enter. An error message may appear stating that it can not open the disk. Hit cancel. Then hit the start again button anyway. After a while after start up, try typing the password to log into OSX. Don’t remember the bip tone thing. It seems like file vault is stopping the user to log in sometimes the first time after activating file vault in OSX.
