Hi, I've not used a projector with that specific model, but normally if Mirroring is not enabled, you will not see the presentation, only the Desktop or some other items. In System Preferences, in Displays, under the Arrangement tab, you should have an option to turn mirroring on. If you're unable to make it work using that, try downloading the Display Menu app from the AppStore. It is free and gives you options in the Menu Extras for turning Mirroring on/off and adjusting the resolution.
