Hi, Just to clarify. When purchasing Audio Books on the Mac, you can do this within iTunes and the Audio Books are listened to within iTunes on your Mac. If you plan on listening to it on your iPhone or iPad, then you use the iBooks app on those devices. If you've signed in with your Apple ID to your iPhone/iPad/Mac, you can start on any of the devices and continue across any other of those devices. So, you could start on your iPad, continue on your iPhone and further continue on your Mac. The place where you stop is remembered in iCloud with your Apple ID, so the device where you listen is variable. The iBooks app on your Mac will read ebooks, pdfs, and more whereas the iBooks app on your iDevice will read both eBooks and Audio Books. iBooks on both your Mac and iDevice is perfectly accessible as well as iTunes on your Mac. All these stock Apple apps are very accessible out of the box.
