Hi mary,

Well I've got both and frankly I think the ones that come with the phone are
easier to deal with, they either work or don't work,

I've had some small issues with my earpods I keep getting VO flickering
louder and sharper sound in my ears while working on my phone or iPad
Apple can't tell me why and the techs say they are fine
And of course if your not using vo you wouldn't notice,
I've also had a few situations where the left pod stops picking up speech
during a phone call,I may know why but they are meant to work indipendantly of
each other
I also think they require some form of a volume or siri control that doesn't
require double tapping the pod as that disconnects me when I'm in the middle of
a phone call.
Otherwise they are great although I think they could do with a safety strap so
if one falls out you don't drop it.

Which reminds me,
Check out the beats X wifi / Bluetooth earpods,

They are beats but have a strap with media controls that hang in front and
another strap behind your head / neck to stop them falling off your head if
dropped,

But the down fall of them in my book is they are the type that go into your
ear canell normally with latex buds on the end,
Oh and in nz they are approx. 40 dollars cheaper than the apple ear pods,
And still have the same W1 chip in them.

 Just a thought.

Subject: AirPods versus the free EarPods

Sent hi all,
I am considering the possible purchase of AirPods. I don't like earr buds in
general and I have never been impressed with the EarPods the Apple include with
its phone. For those of you who have both, are the AirPods really better? Or is
it just nice electronics with the same old less than wonderful sound? I have
great headphones. But they cover the ears, and I don't think I want to wear
them for hours on end.
