I know a person who is very interested in NFB's Literary Braille Transcribing Course. I'm looking for some opinions on the course and the required equipment.
The required equipment is a 40 cell desk slate, a Perkins or a six-key direct input program for a computer such as Perky Duck. Translation software is specifically forbidden, it would seem that the primary purpose of this is didactic. I'm wondering what people think of the course and if any such software for OS X, Perky Duck is a little long in the tooth and requires Classic... The link for the course is : http://www.nfb.org/nfb/Braille_Transcribing.asp?SnID=2 Cheers George -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
