I did get it to work. As you mentioned, there’s no way to select the text, so I copied group by group from memory into a note and then used that to paste into the app.. Even then it did not work because somehow an extra character got included. By this time I had been over it so many times that it was in my head, and the final time I put it in it worked. You might try going character by character and giving VO time to give you the phonetic for each letter. I know for me sometimes I misunderstand a character.
