Sarai, I just used this last week and it worked like a charm. Near the bottom of the screen, somewhere above the Home button, is a button that says “schedule a ride in advance.” If you don’t locate it then swipe either right or left until you hear it say just that and then double tap the button.
On the following screen, you can change the date of the ride if it isn’t the current date. Then go down a bit and there are picker buttons to select hour/minutes and either AM/PM. Once you have the date of your ride then move your finger near the bottom of the screen, probably just above the Home button again and double tap to “set the date.” On the following screen you will set your pick up location and destination. Once you get the address set the next screen for type of Uber ride you want will come up automatically. If your good with the uber-x economy then again, just above the home button is a “schedule ride” button. Double tap it and your ride will be set. If at any time you need to cancel the ride you can double check it under the “upcoming rides” area. Once your wait time starts I don’t think it will notify you until your ride is at the location. I do wish they would make communicating with the driver easier or at least more apparent on the screens. Good luck.
