Hello Kevin, First of all, you have an FN key on your keyboard. It’s the middle left key in the block of 9 between the alpha-numeric keyboard and the numpad. Since this key is badly positioned for use with VO commands, you need to go into System Preferences and select Keyboard. Select the first tab, Keyboard, then use the Item Chooser (VO-i) to find the Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keysv checkbox and check it. You will have to use the FN key to make the F-keys work as media keys and so on. To reinitialise the PRAM, shut down your computer. You may need the help of another person for the next bit as you need to hold down four keys and press the On/Off button at the same time. The keys to hold down are: Command, Option, letter ‘p’ and letter ‘r’. With these keys held down, press the On/Off button and release it while still holding down the four keys. Once you’ve heard the startup chime four times, release the four keys and your computer will boot normally.
