Hi,

You can actually find non-linked text with VO I'm sure. I bet there's a 
command! I just can't remember what it is, because I search a lot. At least, I 
hope there is. It's probably just showing as Find Plain Text in the Find menu 
if you do VO-H H. I'd imagine that's the one.
