Thanks, Matthew. Maybe that's what happened when I open the message once. Maybe I had flipped somewhere else by accident. Will have to experiment. I actually don't mind the delete behavior if it's consistent in the mail list, mostly because now they have put drag as the first action when you flick up, meaning you have to do two flicks to delete, which is a little bit less efficient. So if it will stay consistently on delete, then it's going to be up to me to just remember. But since I do a lot of mail deleting without reading, this could be a good thing. Mary
