Hi,

What happens in these cases is that when dragging,, the original location of 
the file gets hidden behind a window, is scrolled above or below the visible 
list in a table, or is just not visible anymore.  The VO-comma/VO-period drag & 
drop method seems to require that the items remain visible in order to work.  
It's much easier to use the Copy and Paste method when in the Finder to move 
items.  That is, navigate to the item you wish to move, press cmd-c to copy it 
then navigate to the location you wish to place it and press cmd-option-v to 
Paste/Move it to the new location.  In non-Finder scenarios, the old method of 
mouse-down/mouse-up will work but is often cumbersome.
