Hi, A couple of things could be going on. First, it could be that someone is attempting to log into your account from a device that is not yours, and Two-Factor Authentication is doing its job. Second, it could be a device that you haven't yet authorized such as an Apple TV. If you have an Apple TV using your Apple ID, even if you're just trying to stream music to it via AirPlay, it will broadcast this request to your devices a number of times, which can get rather annoying. To fix this, you'll need to go to that Apple TV and pretend that you wish to watch or play something that is connected to your Apple ID such as a purchased movie or music. You should again get the notifications. You should then be able to verify the inclusion of the Apple TV by entering the code on the Apple TV interface.
HTH. Later... Last night, my devices started going crazy with the following notification: “Apple ID Sign Requested: Your Apple Id is being used to sing into a device near Oshawa On.” This notification is appearing approximately every five minutes on all my devices and it is annoying and making it difficult to actually do anything. Does anybody have any advice on how I can solve this? Tia, Jeff -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
