Hi all, this may be helpful to some.

For those of you that use Doug’s script make ringable, I stumbled across how to
make it work with the new iTunes set up.

The custom ringtone is in the iTunes music folder. Right along with the other
tracks from the album you created the tone from. Once you locate it, hit
command C to copy. Have iTunes open and your device connected. In the iTunes
sidebar, arrow down to on this device, arrow further down until you get to
tones. VO-j into the tones table and hit command-v to paste the ringtone. I
heard the little tri-tone that means something was added. I looked on my
device and sure enough the tone was available under sounds and ringtones. I
went ahead and synced my device again, though I’m not sure if this was
necessary.

The other part in these steps that I’m not clear about is what would happen if
I cut and pasted the ringtone instead of copy. I will tell you though, even
though the ringtone is amongst the other tracks, it does not show up in iTunes
with the other tracks. So I don’t think it’ll play as I play music normally.

I hope this helps someone out there that enjoys creating their own ringtones.
