I cannot answer your question definitively. However when I was in the Apple store looking at both the 8 & the 10 the guy helping me said not a word about using a stylus nor did I ask specifically about one since its something I don’t use. That doesn’t necessarily mean the answer is that it can’t be used. I suggest you talk to Apple directly and ask them directly if its important to you and impacts the way you are planning on interacting with the device if you’re considering the 10.
You could call their sales number and ask questions – that doesn’t mean you have to buy it if you find the answers don’t meet your expectations.
