Evening everyone! How you all doing? Oh I'm great. I've got an update on my Email issue I sent a message about. All sorted. In the end after getting in touch with Apple support, a guy called Alan told me to sign out of iCloud. Then we re-created my account in Mail itself.
But I wish that I could get another issue resolved, wonder if anyone else can duplicate? I have my VoiceOver cursor behaviour set to Speak text to the right of the cursor, like how Windows works. Well when writing an Email like now, if I put the word hello for example, go right to the beginning of the text, then use just the left and right arrow keys with quick nav turned off, it keeps skipping characters for example, right past the letter H and onto the E. Or sometimes it goes H and L. But it's not only doing this in Mail, but also in Notes. Showed Alan from the Apple team thanks to screen sharing, he put me through to Accessibility. Spoke to a guy called Edward who also used screen sharing, he saw the cursor doing exactly what I am trying to explain. He has got another appointment with me this Tuesday as he has passed it onto the engineers at Apple. To try and fix it by myself though, I've reset all my VO preferences and re-done them from scratch. No joy there, the issue still persists. If anyone else can duplicate please let me know. Before I sign off, in Safari VoiceOver is losing focus an awful lot. First I tried to get in touch with Apple support via the Internet. Tried to explain my Email issue to a guy called Charles. Well would VO stay focused in that type field? No! It kept jumping right back to the top of the website, where the chat history is located. In the end he disconnected. Anyone else noticed this?
