Hi all,
The short version: what does it mean when VO says an app is floating, how is
this different from Split View, and how does Slide Over figure into things?

I'm getting used to my first-ever iPad. I got it several weeks back, but let
someone test it for a while to see if an iPad Pro would be a good fit. It
wasn't, so I took the device back and now officially own it. To be clear, this
isn't a Pro, just a 2017 9.7-inch model.

I use split view a lot, and quite like it. The multi-tasking thing I'm stuck
on, though, is floating apps. I was in Test Flight when I brought up the dock
and chose Mail. Rather than open Mail, VO reported "Test Flight behind, Mail
floating". Test Flight was still taking up much of the screen, with Mail on the
right side. What is a floating app, and how is it different from Split View? Is
there a way to quickly dismiss a floating app? I found no app divider like in
Split View. I've heard the term Slide Over before; how does that relate to all
this? Thanks for any answers!
