Hi
Yesterday I suddenly had the same issue, running the latest version of Fusion 
and OS 10. I had to shut down my virtual machine, restart my Mac and then I 
could Connect a USB device again. So this seems to be a bug, but at least it 
can be fixed with the quick restart of everything.
