Hey Regina. I don't know what you heard but 4 gb of ram is enough to run the 
newer OS's like Sierra and High Sierra. My MacBook has 4 gb and it runs sierra 
fine. So if my 2010 Mac can run it, your 2015 Mini should have no problems.
