Thanks for the confirmation, Gena. Glad to know I'm not the lone
stranger!

As to why Windows would do this, I would suspect some kind of default
Windows Defender security setting. But, they should add logic to not
mess with audio when a screen reader process is running. That's likely a
bug that should be filed.

I think they would respond to such a bug. They have worked to make
screen reader mediated installation possible. So, this is a finishing
touch they need to add.

One of us should probably file the bug. At the moment, I'm more
interested in getting mine going because work that requires Windows is
piling up. But, I want to make sure it's filed. So, if you, or someone
else files this bug, please advise.
