Anouk, Good point with Mail. I was thinking about mentioning it as I was trying to get to this thread of conversation with my busy busy mail App, and then saw your message. Indeed, Mail is also a pain. I'm running the latest updates, but have not tried using a different account. What I did though, is make sure that nothing was launching unnecessarily, including the stuff that gets in the Library folders, and the processor is pretty stable. Is VoiceOver not multithreading?
