Dear David, The only thing "wrong with this" is your message. However, to address potential unfounded concerns you may have raised for others who might be interested in purchasing the phone, I will respond.
No cash outlay? Not sure how you came to that conclusion. Last I heard, Verizon is not giving away iPhone 10s for free. It was a Christmas gift from my husband, so I can assure you, there was cash outlay. If you care to check the list archives, you will see my posts from Dec 10 regarding setup and initial experience with the phone. As to the $850 asking price, that is over $200 less than the phone would sell for new, and includes a case and glass screen protector. Hardly unreasonable, I think. Can the purchaser use it? Yes. It is a Verizon phone. Verizon ships their phones unlocked, so there should be no issues taking the phone to another carrier. However--and there are people on the list who can confirm this--as I have never personally taken a Verizon phone to another carrier, I have suggested to prospective buyers that they confirm with their carrier that they can in fact do this. I hope you--and more importantly prospective buyers--are satisfied. And, I think an apology is in order.
