I really do enjoy a good technology discussion. Second, today I went to my local Apple Store and purchased the space gray HomePod. What I found interesting is that, at this location, anyway, they were really pushing the device. In fact, the sale rep stated several times, "Well, buy it and if you don't like it, just bring it back." I was a bit surprised at this. It wasn't just him for as I browsed through the store, many of the sales reps were talking to people and expressing the same sentiment. In fact, their somewhat pushy demeanor almost turned me off my purchase but, as I did not have a digital assistant, I decided to add HomePod to my Apple family of products. As for the ring residue problem? I purchased a 3-dollar mouse pad to place under the unit. I'm looking forward to unboxing HomePod and taking it for a spin, this weekend.
