Yeah, Turn it off completely and then hold down the command key and letter R keys at the same time.
While holding those down press the power on key, and keep holding command and r for approx. 30 seconds. This puts you in the recovery console You can start up voiceover using command f5 Then find the disk utility option, Open disk utilities, Find the volume name for your drive, Not the physical drive name, Normally the volume name is something like Macintosh HD And is the second level in the disk listings. Then on the volume use eraise to wipe it compleyely, Don't eraise anything other than that one volume Then once eraised close disk utilities and then use the install mac os utility to install the os from sctrach When the new installation gets to the request for nation or language stop and turn the machine off as it's ready to be reinstalled as the new owner requires. Hoe that helps. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Terri Stimmel Sent: Sunday, 18 February 2018 3:15 AM To: [email protected] Subject: resetting Mac to factory settings Hello everyone, I am wanting to sell my Macbook.
