Hi Yuma,

I'm not sure how to answer your question, since you're asking about transferring podcasts on your iPhone device, and not in iTunes, so the content does not depend on where podcasts reside on your computer, but what settings you've checked for podcasts to be transferred over to your iPhone (e.g. 3 most recent episodes of every podcast subscription on my checked list, or all episodes you haven't listened to yet, etc. -- one would have to know both which podcast subscriptions you checked, and what episodes you chose to have transferred; there's no general way for someone who is not using your device to know what selections you've made).

However, if you're asking where podcasts reside on your computer, they will be in the Podcasts folder under your iTunes Music library. The easiest way to find these, regardless of your computer setup and the designated location of your iTunes Music Library is to simply select a podcast in the songs table of iTunes and use Command-R (the shortcut for "Show in Finder" that you can also locate as an option under the "File" menu on the iTunes menu bar). This will open a Finder window with your selected episode highlighted. To find the folder of other episodes for that podcast subscription, simply use Command-Up arrow in the Finder window. To find the folder of all podcasts, use Command-Up arrow again, and you'll be highlighting the Podcasts folder. Since you're working in a Finder window, you can use a "Move" workflow or simply copy and paste the highlighted folder to an external flash drive or attached drive either in the Finder sidebar, or specified by using the Command-Shift-G ("Go to Folder") shortcut and typing in the file path. Depending on how you've set up the connection to the other machine and the utility you're using to transfer files, you can use some variation of this "Show in Finder" trick to move your selections over or add them to his iTunes library or file structure. When you're done, close the Finder window with Command-W.

Hope this addresses what you want to do.

Cheers,

Esther

Hi ,

I have a devver for iphone since this morning, and would like to transfer him all the podcasts on iphone dev i've downloaded on his computer.

I would like to restrict my transfers to only the podcasts. Do you know where the files reside in my partition?

Thanks
