Hi Chris,

I've had a macbook pro since a few months before you got yours, and my unit is
running just as fast as when i got it.

I do have a lot of applications and my media library is growing steadily, but i
do believe that it is because i keep it clean with cache emptying, using
click2flash, x-slimmer and other applications made to increase performance.

I do notice though that my ctrl key is less responsive *but thats just my
paws*, and that i have a harder time navigating through spreadsheets in numbers
*but it has been that way since the beginning*.

For the rest, mainly for aesthetic stuff that we don't need, i use xupport to
rid the finder, dock and others of any and all animations which take up RAM,
CPU and therefore slow down your system when you have about 5 or more windows
open.

And to increase things more, i check my applications monitor and see if there's
anything i installed which munches on ram and processing with invisible
threads. You'd be surprised by the ammount of crap that can come up when you
install stuff.
But thats something you already know

Hope that helps

Yuma
