Hi James,
I also wondered whether you were thinking about the Coconut battery
application, which can tell you additional information about your
Mac's battery performance and history -- such as the number of cycles,
the current battery capacity compared to the original battery
capacity, etc.. You can find Coconut battery for download at version
tracker as Jim notes, or you can go to the application's software page:
http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/index.html
I don't think this was referenced in the current list's archives, but
Coconut battery is listed in the earlier macvisionaries list archives
(from before February 2009).
Cheers,
Esther

Hey James!
that info is under the system profiler. You can get there by going
to the apple menu. When you get to about this mac, if you hold down
the option key the menu turns into system profiler. The battery
life is under there. I also downloaded a little application called
Coconut battery which will tell you the same info. Think I found it
at version tracker.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for this, mine does the same. However, you can also be told
if you're battery is healthy or if it needs replacing etc. But I
can't remember how to bring this info up.

Hi list,
From what i've been reading, there is a way to check the current
health of the batteries in the Apple laptops. Has anyone worked
out a way of getting to this info please? I did it once, but I've
forgotten how to do it as it was a long time ago.
Thank you for any help.
