Hi James,
I used to be sighted, and a 3D graphist. I know manage a 3D team, i know its
odd, but this is my day in day out activity.
I only baught or even touched a mac last June, as i heard Mike Arrigo's podcast
and thought voice over seemed better than jaws, though the windows platform was
my unit of choice back then when i was flipping vertices.
I've learned applescript on the go, documented myself, and am in applescript
listings to see the underlying concept of the language.
I also used to do actionscript for flash, so i know how it works behind the
pretty graphics.
If you want to learn about applescript, i can give you some links to sites and
books you can get and start scripting. Its a very useful tool, especially for
shortcuts and productivity. and what's beautiful about it is that you can
logically automate tasks between various applications, even those which don't
initially have a dictionary or suite. Its all in the detective work of how you
want to proceed.
Hope that helps
Cheers
Yuma
