It would have been, but the official Apple adapters are far more expensive. I love Apple, but I tend to never buy some accessories. Cables, watch bands, and some wall adapters are among the items I consider to be so overpriced, but that have safe and workable alternatives available elsewhere, that I don't like to buy them if I can help it.
