Awesome!

Just trying to decide if I should get it now, or wait until September.

I got a series III when they came out. I had a 1. The difference was like
night and day as far as the speed and the sound. I just couldn’t stand the
sluggishness anymore. I have the sport model, and there are no scratches I can
feel, though I’m pretty rough on mine. I wear it during rowing, crossfit, and
all kinds of activities. It’s a tough watch, and I like it so much better than
the original.

Take care,

Lois

My series one is so sluggish.

I admit, I like the feel of the SS over the sport. I was told the SS version
can scratch easily on the case, and if you drop it, the watch will shatter.

I have the black sport right now. I do like that silver SS version. Just not
sure if it is worth the price.

I have the series 2 sport, which is the same as yours except for better water
resistance and onboard GPS. It runs as quickly and has the same storage.

Personally, I'm waiting for the next one before I upgrade. Mine works well
enough, and I'm told by other users that the Series 3 is a huge jump over the
original Apple Watch, but not so much of one over the series we both have.
Since I wouldn't get a huge increase in performance, I'm holding off for now.

That said, cellular is one reason to consider an upgrade. If you really need an
Apple Watch that can function (mostly) independently of its paired iPhone, the
Series 3 is your only option right now. Still, if you can wait, I'm betting
there will be good things in the next ones. Even if it's incremental speed and
performance improvements, those changes will be all the more worth it coming
from our Watches compared to upgrading now, then upgrading again.

Finally, I can't see much need for the stainless steel. The screen might be
harder to scratch, but I've never scratched my screen. The unit feels a bit
more substantial on the wrist, but I like the weight of mine. The casing is
harder, but I've had no impact problems with my aluminum casing. I may well be
missing something, but I've never really seen the incentive to spring for the
stainless steel.

Hi all:

While waiting for my iPhone to have the battery replaced, I looked at the Apple
watches. I’m trying to decide if I want to purchase the series 3 now, or wait
for the 4. I’m also trying to decide between sport and stainless steel.
bennifits of stainless steel over sport? Should I wait for the 4? I have the
series 1 now.
