You are probably aware of this, but LaTeX is not a word processor in the
Pages or Nisus Writer Pro sense of the term. It is not a case of CMD + B
and your text will be bold etc.
I am more than happy to help offlist if that would be useful. Have you
also considered Markdown or one of its variations?
