Hello Leo,
I have rarely used this functionality I do know that it is just an AppleScript
that essentially uses the "speak" command which is also available in the UNIX
shell
I suggest you try it in the terminal where you can control most parameters and
see if it works any better. Personally I only played with the contextual menu
once and then only with a paragraph or two
