Hello Maria, I am almost certain that one of your Apple devices is automatically deleting emails after a certain time or action.
In order to locate the culprit, you must check the settings on every email client that has access to your iCloud email account. For example, in iOS, you can set the default mail client to automatically delete messages after a certain time or after a specific action. Since most mail clients now use the iMap protocol, any client, through which you access your account, can manipulate your email messages. Be patient, thorough, and you will discover which client is responsible. Although I have not heard of this, I suppose it is possible that one could also run out of iCloud storage. If this were to happen, it may also cause messages to be automatically deleted. In my case, I use approximately 10 email clients to access my various email accounts. As it turned out, it was one of my Macs that was deleting my messages. If you can confirm that all of your email clients are set correctly, then go to www.iCloud.com and check the email rules in effect, there. Hang in there and don't give up, okay?
