I'm hoping someone here will have an answer for me. Before bootcamp 3.1 came out, I was already running win 7 under bootcampt 3.0. Things were running ok but not perfect. I was happy to see the bootcamp update. Anyway, I can not seem to get bootcamp to update to 3.1. I've tried using the apple updater found on the start menu but it goes through the download and tells me I need to restart the computer to finish the update but after rebooting, I'm still at 3.0 with the same issues. I also tried downloading the update directly to my computer and running it but when I run the executable, it asks me if I want to run it and I say yes. After a split second, there's nothing. It just seems to stop. No error, no nothing, and I'm still at 3.0. I was told by Apple tech support that I would probably need to remove the windows 7 partition and reinstall a fresh copy of windows 7, then reinstall the 3.0 bootcamp from the os disk, and then use the apple updater to update to 3.1. I don't really see how that will work since I'll be right where I am now before doing the update again. I'm willing to do this if absolutely necessary and the only way but before I tried this I was hoping someone here might have an idea. Anyway, here's hoping with my fingers crossed.
