Hi,

You can have the screen recording use your iPhone microphone while recording
the screen. It messes with the volume so it is not near as loud as it should
be, but you can hear VO on the recording. You will also hear your finger
movements on the screen, any talking, sneezing or other noises as the mic is
active. This may not be exactly what you were hoping for, but a start. You
can quickly enable the recording of sound by doing a 3D press on the Screen
Recording button and flick right to the last item which will enable the
microphone during the screen recording session.

Later...

Hello everyone. I have not been posting to the list for quite a while now. But
today, I thought I would do so. I don’t have a computer at the moment and miss
it a great deal but I hope to get one soon. I am just waiting for Apple to say
what iMac they will bring out.

I have been working with a company which will be nameless and have been helping
them with The mobile app as I had found it very on usable and the online
facility that they had, had also been very terrible. So, for many years, I had
been on at the company as I wanted to use the facilities like my sighted peers
but could not.

I could have walked away from this company but thought rather than making a
fuss and saying that I would leave the company, I thought I would persist and
continue to complain even though compensation had been provided to me. So in
the light of this, I had a call from the company and a person wanted to meet
me. So I went to their offices as I said, and for 2 1/2 hours I sat with them
explaining the concepts of voice-over and Braille , and The very screen
readers. I had been testing for quite a few companies over the years so they
were very impressed with what I said and the examples that I provided.

While I was doing the testing, I use the video screen recording feature that
Apple had introduced recently.

I did not understand the screen recording feature but after using it last week,
I realised the greatness of that feature. Now I am very confident if there is
something wrong, and I am helping someone with any app, I can make a video
recording of the screen and send it to the company in question.

The only thing I miss about the video screen recording is that there is no
sound so that you can’t hear what is happening on the screen when the recording
is happening. I wish that Apple had not muted all the sounds. I realise that
the developers are only interesting in the visual aspects of the screen, but
being me, I would love to have known what was happening on the screen.

Anyway, I hope you find this interesting. If there are any mistakes, please
forgive as I have been dictating.

Many thanks.

Kawal.
